THE AIMS: Of the course is to provide staff who are already involved with pressure testing of water mains the skills and knowledge to prepare a water main for pressure testing as required by the water undertaker’s codes of practices.    Objectives: The preparation of a water main prior to pressure testing. The setting up of the pressure pump and associated equipment. The use of computer software to calculate pressure passes or failures. The understanding of various pressure test systems, such as the WRC Type 2 test and the 3-point analyses.
