The Aims: To give staff the skills and knowledge to swab water mains, set up an area for a flushing program and to air scour a section of water main.   Objectives: Swab insertion into water mains through fire hydrants. Swab discharge requirements. Set up area for flushing program. Calculate flush times. Flushing discharge requirements. Set up area for air scouring. Set up compressor. Set up air scouring machine ensuring correct pressures. Set up for air scour discharge requirements.   Duration: 3 days or 1 day per subject Numbers: Up to 8 Delegates Additional information: Delegates should bring with them waterproof clothing and a section of training water main should be made available together with a compressor and air scouring unit.
