The Aim: To give staff the skills and knowledge to understand the rudiments of the Manual Handling Regulations, to be defined loads, and adopt correct lifting techniques to reduce the risk of personal injury.  

Objectives:

• The role of the individual and team lifting.

• The intrinsic aspect of loads.

• The tasks relative to manual handling.

• The environment relative to manual handling.

• The risk assessment (an exercise in M.H. risk assessment).
