SAFE USE AND MOUNTING OF ABRASIVE WHEELS

The Aims: To give staff the skills and knowledge to conform to the P.U.W.E.R. Regulations 1998, to be able to select and identify wheels and to identify faulty wheels in order to mount abrasive wheels between flanges as laid down in HSG 17.
Objectives:
- Identify the various categories of accidents associated with abrasive wheels.
- Provision of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.
- C.O.S.H.H.
- Personnel Protective Equipment Regulations.
- HS (G) 17 document.
- Coding to BS 4481.
- Fault finding.
- Guarding of machines.
- Flange recognition.
- Mounting of abrasive wheels.
Duration: 1/2 day
Numbers: Up to 10 delegates
NB: All training can be carried out on site.
